Die Rose von Stambul (1916) is one of Fall’s most popular operettas, and was made into a film in 1953. SYNOPSIS: A Turkish pasha’s niece agrees to a marriage of convenience with a supposedly stuffy diplomat, though she really only has eyes for a handsome composer.. Eventually she discovers that the diplomat and the composer are one and the same.
