DEBT TO SOCIETY

Set in a women’s prison we find three very different characters: a golden-hearted and sharp-tongued individual, her pal, a proper madam who delights in scoring off a woman who has seen better days and finally, the humane wardress. When the cause of their misfortune is spelt out, it is the quiet one who has come to the fore and the spiteful mischief-maker is soon to be the currency that pays another woman’s Debt to Society.
