André Tchaikowsky - Symposium
10 July 2013
David Pountney decision to stage André Tchaikowsky’s The Merchant of Venice at this year’s Bregenz Festival has sparked a lot of interest in the man and his music, so much so that the Festival has devoted a weekend to Tchaikowsky with discussions about the man, his life and, most importantly, his music.
The symposium also sees the release of Anastasia Belina-Johnson’s biography of Tchaikowsky (Die tägliche Mühe ein Mensch zu sein), the English version of which will be released later this year.
