Things was written in the first instance as a fun piece to perform and to listen to, but was designed to tie into the National Curriculum. The songs easily lead onto wider discussions and lessons about resources, their uses, geography and many other wider issues.
The music is suitable for piano, voice and some percussion which the pupils can play from within, or separately from the choir. This is a versatile musical resource where any other instruments can be added, such as a bass, more keyboards or solo instruments so the whole class can be engaged and involved in musical performance.
