Richard Taylore has been working professionally as a composer for both the theatre and concert hall since leaving the Royal Northern College of Music in 1989. His works have been performed at the Royal Albert Hall, the Festival Hall, the Cheltenham, Buxton, Edinburgh and Covent Garden festivals and the barn at Beauchamp House, Gloucester, where his musical Whistle Down the Wind began its musical life. Was awarded the Theodore Holland Prize by the Royal Academy of Music and the Silver Medal by the Worshipful Company of Musicians.
