Stephen Hough: Premiere of Piano Sonata No. 2 (notturno luminoso)

Pianist, composer, artist, writer, hat and cake-lover, Stephen Hough, gives the premiere of his Piano Sonata No. 2 (notturno luminoso) at the Swansea Festival of the Music and Arts on 9th October.
The sonata is a joint commission with funds generously supplied by the Lakeside Arts Centre, University of Nottingham; The Schubert Club; the Swansea Festival of Music and the Arts and the Vancouver Recital Society. Hough will perform this sonata as part of his recital repertoire during the 2012/13 season.
